Three Grand Reasons Why Cambodia Can Not Miss ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS

This Saturday, 16 February, ONE Championship will return to the buzzing Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand and bring some of the best martial artists in the world.

With a 14-bout card full of renowned world champions, ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS is bound to be an unforgettable evening, showcasing the best of the best in both mixed martial arts and stand-up striking.

Two promotional debutants will represent Cambodia as Kun Khmer World Champion Lao Chetra and World Lethwei Championship Queen Nou Srey Pov will take on the Thai heroes Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Rika “Tinydoll” Ishige in front of a roaring crowd.

Check out these three reasons why Cambodia should be ready for a great evening of top-notch martial arts action this Saturday!

#1. An Epic Muay Thai World Championship Clash

Multiple-time World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is considered to be one of the very best Muay Thai practitioners in the modern era and an absolute living legend.

Undefeated in his ONE Championship run, Singapore-based Gaiyanghadao will meet China’s Han Zi Hao in an epic ONE Super Series Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship title bout.

Will the 23-year-old Han be able to put his hands on the veteran and claim his spot as the ultimate Muay Thai World Champion, or will the explosive Gaiyanghadao please the Thai crowd with yet another thrilling performance?

#2. Nou Srey Pov’s Anticipated Debut

World Lethwei Championship’s “Female Fighter of the Year” Srey Pov has set herself up for a huge 2019.

The talented 24-year-old has amassed over a hundred Kun Khmer and lethwei bouts and is now looking to conquer the world of mixed martial arts.

Even though Srey Pov’s battle with “Tinydoll” Ishige will be her first mixed martial arts outing, she is already touted as a fast-learning athlete with an exceptional development in grappling.

Thai superstar Ishige will without a doubt be her biggest test to date, but if Srey Pov can get her hand raised in the Impact Arena on Saturday, she will instantly propel herself to ONE stardom.

#3. Lao Chetra’s Baptism Of Fire

ONE Championship’s all-striking league Super Series is full of hungry contenders, and Cambodia’s Lao Chetra will jump right into the mix.

The young Kun Khmer specialist will make his debut against multiple-time Muay Thai World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 in an exciting flyweight bout on the main card.

At 23 years of age, Superlek is already regarded as one of the all-time best Muay Thai practitioners, but Chetra has already built a reputation as the future of Kun Khmer and a stand-out athlete.

If Chetra can go toe to toe with Superlek and beat the Thai talent on his home turf, a title fight could be in the horizon for the young Cambodian.
